I have been divorced since June of 1997 and thought everything was taken care of. Recently a bill collector has been calling saying that I owe a bill from my past marriage. It was a credit card bill my ex-husband sign for and I co-sign for in 1994. I haven't had the card since the beginning of 1997 and just resently they had a bill collector call me and try to collect. I don't know if I even make any of the charges on the card. Should I agree to pay half, or let it go to court to proof otherwise? Do they have the right to do this to me?
