Dont I repeat Dont voluntary repo your car as I did. It made no difference on the credit report and even worse Like a fool I did pay restitution thinking it would come off my credit , but guess what It still is on there today and am still fighting to get it off and that was 5 years ago. I even sent and followed with a fax to the credit bureau a letter from ford Motor stating that the car had been paid in full.
