Stop credit card solicitation

Does anyone know a way to stop credit card companies from soliciting by mail and by telephone. Is there anything online that I can fill out or whatever to stop these solicitaions. I did write to some place one time and told them that I wanted to stop getting credit card solicitations at my home address but they didn't stop. I think it was like some Postmaster thing or something but they didn't stop. We have a small business and my husband has been getting them by phone also. We want to stop this solicitation. Can anyone help. Thanks
