Freezing Bank Account

-Just wondering... I might have a judgment coming my way and I've heard of bank accounts being frozen without notice. How would the CA know where my checking account is? -Where do they get that information? Can they just call around from bank to bank searching to see if I have an account? Maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm curious. -Thanks.
