Yeah, but people who don’t get sued don’t have a nearly paid off house begging to have a lien slapped on it. This $1500 credit card will grow by the $200 in court costs that will be added on it plus the $400 in attorney’s fees. So you’ll wind up with a $2100 lien on your house that will have to be paid before you can ever sell it. Not a good idea to ignore this. By the way, a $1500 credit card has a $30 a month minimum payment. Not a good idea to let a $30 a month payment put a lien on your house.
