There is no case until the defendant is properly served.

You are receiving letters from ambulance chasers- who have now moved into this area. If you are getting letters, it is possible that the summons is defective in some way, which would create an easy win for the lawyer representing you.

IN the meantime, check the courthouse and find out if anything has been filed.
