charged-off account question

I have a citibank credit card listed as charged-off, last payment was October 2002. The balnce keeps growing every month on my CR......think AllianceOne bought the debt because thats who calls now. Can the balnce keep growing since it's been charged off..........it went from 25K to 50K in one year
