I agree that it is not a scam, however, it is dirty business. These credit card companies charge an arm and a leg to people who are already struggling with bills, and trying to stay in good standings. I also want to make another point, why is it that when a customer makes an early payment, these CC companies won't apply the payment immediately after receiving it?!?! Kinda fishy to me. They are waiting til the due to apply the payment so that they are making interest up to that point. Now this is dirty and cheap!! I am very much against CapitalOne, and all these other CC companies charging these outrageous fees and rates. I recommend you get a FNANB credit card. I must admit I have a tainted credit profile, but FNANB mananged to give me a 5.00 interest rate credit card. My CapitalOne card is at 19.00 interest rate. Now does this make sense?!?! I got both of these cards around the same time, and I'm sure they were looking at the same credit report. My conclusion is that certain companies still believe in the "customer comes first" attitude. FNANB gets my thumbs up.
