Just received a collection letter from a CA because I disputed their account with the CRA. The original creditor is gone so I belive they re-aged it. Anyhow, the results came back "the agency has verified the LDA is reported correctly but this account is under investigation by credit grantor". They VERIFIED to CRA that the LDA is 11/96. I am in Ohio so the SOL is expired. THe OC must have disagreed because it was deleted about 1 week later. My question, in regards to this collection letter from the agency should I send a validation letter to them just to cover my bases? They are a company that sues over sol cases so I figured if I asked for validation its just one better thing for me if they file suit. I did send the SOL letter already but they are still sending collection letters. What should I do now?
