I was delinquent for over 180 days in 1991. Then I made a payment to the same account number a week later (and it's now 1992) and this was the last payment I made to this account. In 1999 a judgement was filed against me. My defense was the SOL, but the adversaries are saying it's within the 6 years of the charge-off. My question is, once an account goes over 180 days, isn't it automatically charged-off? Or, by making that payment in 1992 start another 180 days for Charge-Off, again?
