Why are you checking this out NOW???It is WAY past the time for appeal or vacating of the judgment.

In any case, the date of "chargeoff" in 1992 would only have a bearing on determining the SOL for the obsolescence period of 7 years on your credit report.

Depending on your State, the start of the LEGAL SOL would have been the first delinquency that preceded a chargeoff, or your last payment on the account.

Prior to the 1996 FCRA and other regulations, an OC could keep an account in collections for about as long as they wanted to without charging it off.
