What is a "Target Charge Account" be considered under the Statue of Limitation Law for Illinois? A collection agency is refusing to provide me with any evidence showing that the account belongs to me. They told me that they proved the account is a valid one and that they will show me the papers in court. They also said the account last activity was in 1996 and they took over the account in 2001. They are also adding interest on the balance. I sent two letters requesting clarification and they ignored all of them. Is this right or is there something wrong here?
