The creditors will NOT take a name off of a joint account, they don't give a rat's behind about any divorce decree.

Your EX is going to be liable for the joint debts and there's not a damn thing she can do about it. She CAN file an objection and cry about the divorce decree, but Federal trumps State here and she will not likely prevail.

One suggestion though.. get your ex added to your filing as a creditor. That will stop her from coming after you for anything she dreams up later. List it as a 'contingent', unsecured debt and put some amount in there. Your lawyer can help if you're using one.
