All they do is dispute bad things on your reports. They will send disputes arguing over balances like saying it's really $542 when the reports say that its $570. Or they may dispute late dates.

In either case, if they CRAs don't receive an answer in 30 days they delete that entire item from your report. This will usually only happen to items that are at least 4 years old, since the banks tend to put stuff on microfish after they realise it's past SOL and nonlibel.

But guess what? It's very easy to do all this yourself. Wait a few days before Thanksgiving and dispute everything you can on all 3 of your reports. The overworked agencies (not only the CRAs, but also the Banks and OCs themselves) usually have to work the hardest during this time, and many people know it. That's why many people dispute that time of the year. Many people are on vacations, there are fewer working days and much more confusion in the weeks before Xmas holdiday.

You stand a very good chance of half the bad stuff coming off all 3 of your reports, especially if the bad stuff is a couple of years old and no longer 'instantly accessible' by some drone sitting behind a computer screen.

I have a cousin that paid Clearcredit and they sent her a notice of all the disputes and validations they were requesting. Clearcredit actually did get a car loan she defaulted on a few years back erased.

But again. There is nothing that they do that you can't. Why pay their ridiculous fees?
