Ohio, like most States, is a "cause of action" State, that is, the SOL accrues (starts) from the first date of default or delinquency, which is technically the first date the creditor is legally allowed to file suit for breach of contract.

In those few States where there is a different "start" date, it is specifically mentioned in their SOL statutes(and posted on my website under that State)
