CO's reporting as past due??

DH has several accounts that were charged off that are reporting with high balances and past due amounts!!! Is this legal?? I thought once they were charged off they had to report at $0 balance and no longer late. One was paid in full two years ago and one was settled (for half the balance but got in writing that it would be considered settled in full). Two others are now with other CA's who aren't reporting at all.

We also have a Sherman Ac on there reporting the ENTIRE balance $1500 as 120+ days past due - they've HAD the account MAYBE one month.... I've already requested validation from them but that was before I saw them reporting 120 days late! Now I'm pissed! Can they do that?

What should we do with these?
