looks like my first post was erased somehow.
here is my question, a friend of my mothers is 72 yrs old she is trying to refi her house to reduce the interest rate, her son ran up one of her cc to providian, providian sued her and obtained a judgement 3 yrs ago in florida, she is living in north carolina and has been for a while. providian took the account back from the attorneys and sold the debt to Credigy, i offered credigy a settlement amount of 1,200 on a 4,500.00 judgement, they refused. we all know they purchased this debt for next to nothing and seriously think they are going to get full balance.

the woman is 72 like I said, very little income and no assests to think of except her home. so what strategy could I use with credigy to get them to accept this offer. since the judgement was obtained in florida can credigy enforce the judgement even though they are not the ones who sued her. I doubt the judgement could be enforced here in NC unless it was Domesticated correct? any assistance would be grateful.
