I posted this at creditboards.com and am posting it here in case........

I know....dumb question but I need to know.

First reason being, due to the the economy right now, business on my only job as come to a crawl. This is the worst I've seen it in all my 15 years. I'm getting ready to lose my OT which means I lose over $400/month income which means I can longer afford to pay the $ agreed on with CA last month. I had no idea business was going to turn like this and due to other circumstances in our line of work, it doesn't look to turn around anytime real soon. Added on top of this, my car is on its last legs I'm told (13 years old - 238,000+ miles) so I'm going to be looking at another car payment soon.

Second reason for asking is that in reviewing the "missing link" document that CA provided last month in court, my name and account are nowhere mentioned. So, still - the CA has yet to provide proper validation. The only reason I agreed to settle last month is because a) the CA's rep had no clue what she was talking about (handed me a copy of a CC statement claiming it was my final statement when it fact it was dated a year before the account was even closed) and b) CA's rep was agreeing to settle for the $ on that statement even though it was for less than 1/2 of what they were suing me for (and closer to the CC balance when the acct. was closed).

Any ideas and/or suggestions on what I can/cannot/should do here would be appreciated. I have to go back to court Thursday evening.
