Call the courthouse and make sure this was a REAL filed lawsuit, and not a FAKE from a crooked collection agency.

You say the last "activity" was 02/01-- From where are you getting this information?

What was the chargeoff date? What date on your Experian report is listed as the date for removal.

This "NC lawyer" what kind of leterhead is on his correspondence, are you SURE this is not a collection agency?
