You did not say what the Exprian report shows as the "removal" date on the account listing of the OC.

If you were in "debt mangagement"
in 02/01,it means you must have been "behind" on your payments at that time.

You need to search your records and look for any statement from the OC that shows a "past due"or late fee on a regular monthly billing statement, hopefully dated prior to 09/00.

Failing that, you still need to answer the claim and deny all the allegations. This will require them to PROVE the account amounts, produce signatures on applications,etc.
