It still exists, it just can't be enforced. The only way to actually have it marked as paid is to pay the Court, which is like paying for a dead horse.

You really should just get it, and the CA entry removed from the credit reports,cancel the refi with the current lender ( who is an IDIOT),reapply after the reports are clear. Since it is a Fl. judgment, there will be NO record of it in your State court.
