I live in Missouri and several months ago I received a collection letter. I sent off for verification twice; the first one no CRRR and the second one did have CRRR, yet ever couple weeks I receive a demand for payment and to call to set up payment arrangements.

Do CA's have a limit that they have a time fram in which they HAVE to respond? Is this considered OVERSHADOWING if they have not verified? The debt amount keeps increasing on every new collection letter that I receive.

They tried to collect on this account through W&A and after filing several complaints on W&A I haven't heard anything on this account in amost a year.

Should I just move forward with C&A letter?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
