Opt out, (look for the link "Opt Out & Report Fraud" on my website) prevents the sale of your credit information to garbage collection agencies.

The SOL letter (look for the link "Letter To CA re SOL") will notify any CA that is still trying to collect from you that you are beyond the permitted legal collection limit in Ca.
