If I were you I'd stop using cross crappy.

Get a cap 1 or orchard. One more inquiry should really damage your score much at all. Ask cross crappy if they will wave your monthly fees, be persistent. If they refuse, tell them you wish to close.

If you can't afford to have your score lowered by even a small amount, keep it, but pay in full and don't use them. The company is crooked as hell and they have a bunch of morons working there who try and double bill and charge unwarranted fees. They really don't deserve to have any customers. You shouldn't perpetuate that pile of crap company by paying their $10 a month "maintenance fee" or whatever they call it now. It's highway robbery!
