Drew is mistaken.
It makes no difference that Ca is a community property State.
If you are the only one that signed on the card, NONE of your husband's or your joint assets can be touched, (if you have a joint bank account they MAY be able to freeze the funds until your husband swears that the $$ are his)

Ca. has pretty good sized exemptions for everything, and NO there is NO WAY anyone can come to your home and seize any household belongings.

How old is this debt, when did you last pay the ORIGINAL creditor?
