help with insufficient report to chex

Can someone tell me what I need to do here. I have called the collection agency that had my charged off account with ccb bank and told them that the debt was paid in full. Now my problem is they are refusing to report it PAID on chex! I have called the bank directly several times and getting told "we dont handle that, youll have to talk to our recovery". Well recovery isnt working. A recovery lady even took down my address and told me that she would send me a letter stating the debt was paid full and clear. No such letter arrived! Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.
