I know it was voted and approved by our wonderful Congress early this year, but I am not sure when it is effective. I am sure that the CC lobby wanted it effective immediately-Gods forbid Americans actually have true debt relief! I mean a multinational, multi billion dollar bloodsucking corporation might not be able to pay its unethical leadership millions in salary+bonus because of us not paying our CC's!
