To make a long story short a collection agency garnished my wages in Jan 03. I was not aware of this garnishment until I rec'd papers from my employer. We contact the agency and had them dismiss the garnishment. Since Feb I have paid them every month. In Sept I rec'd a letter from them stating I still owed $421.95. I had sent them $200.00 of the amt before I got letter. On Sept 09 sent them remaining balance. On Sept 10 rec'd a summon from court where they were seeking to garnish my checking acct. Call them said they would take care of it that we bounced a check to them in Aug. thats why they filed. We never bounced a check to them. On the summons never stated what we owed them. On Sept 15 my checking acct was debted for $525.28 and another $50.00 debt for legal progessing fees. I requested a hearing when we got the summons Sat the 10th of Sept. On The paper I rec'd from the bank on Sept 18th show the amt of the hospital bill which was $1484.55. Which with the attorney fees totaled $1635.55. I paid them $1000.00 and they got $453.43 from my check. We go to court on the Sept 22nd. They caused me to bounce 10 checks one which was the final payment of $221.95. But there figures and my don't agree. And if they get to keep the money from my acct I will end of pay over $2000.00. I have every check I sent them.
