Jade, copies of applications are only that, copies. For court purposes, they need the actual application itself or a certified copy. Why? Anyone can burn someone's signature from a letter to a CD and then transfer it to a computer application and then print it out.

Make sure you show up. If you show up and the other people show up, more than likely the judge will order you to go down stairs and settle and you will be able to negotiate a settlement.

See Why CHats How to answer and defintely answer. Give a general denial. If you admit it, they will file a motion for a summary judgment since there is nothing to show up for and they will add their fees and costs to it and get a judgment. If you don't answer, they will get a summary judgment. If you don't show up, they will get a default judgment with the legal fees.

They want a legal action and a judgment because it has been a while since you haven't paid and they want to get you while they can. So give a general denial, make them show up and then offer a settlement when the judge asks you to.
