Location Texas.

Actually I guess I should have called this "Manure by any other name smells just as..........."

+ + + + +

RJM Acquisitions Funding LLC has sent me a letter. Original Creditor, First Fidelity Bank/Bank Plus, then changed/merged/portfolio sold (or something like that) to Household Bank. Now..........

Well, RJM is saying "WE ARE YOUR NEW CREDITOR" and that they have purchase the above referenced account.

Then it states "Please see important information on reverse side". (on the reverse is the mini miranda)

Further down it states "RJM Acqusitions LLC is not a collection agency.

+ + + + +

Please correct me if I am wrong. A debt collector is a debt collector.

Is it not true that even if purchased, assigned, bartered, whatever -- that everyone AFTER the Original Creditor is a debt collector? If true, is this just Federal law, or also the Texas Debt Collection Act?
