help with law fim and ca

first how come the oc put a bad mark on your cr and then, that i understand ,the ca that buy's your account put one on there too, and you havent even heard from them the oc was last paid 4-2001 and now its still not over the sol , but been making payment to the law firm that they are using , been making montly payment do the sol still run out in the 3 yrs for okla , or when i started making payment do it start over, the )2 question is can they sue you when you are making payments i know that i owe it but its not going to change my cr for paying it , I just don't want to be sued or get a judgment or garnishment against me , but i can't pay the full amount, or i would have been things went right, i mean don't they idiots know if you could pay it we would, the over charge and late fees and I know that we didn't use the whole dam card up they should have know when we called and told them we are having money troubles they didn't care and still don't so now what i would like to know is what should I do..now
