These scofflaws have been at it for quite awhile. http://www.law.emory.edu/4circuit/may95/932162.p.html is the appellate opinion in a suit that started 12 years ago that they lost (the damages weren't much, but I garon-tee they paid through the nose to defend it, which is always deliciously delightful) and they haven't learned a thing since.

Complaint to the state Bar (not necessarily the Bar Association, which in my state is voluntary and doesn't have disciplinary power) where they're licensed in addition to the other approaches suggested. At least one lawyer has gotten in significant trouble for renting his license to Collect America--talk about a deal with the devil--and I'd like to see a LOT more of them get in a LOT more trouble. I have to obey all the rules of professional conduct when suing them, so I think it's fair that they observe the same standards when they bother consumers.
