The settlement should be detailed in writing. Cambece specializes in collecting on credit card debt which had been charged off by the original creditor and sold to Cambece's clients.

Any information placed on your credit report by the original creditor will remain on the report. Cambece can only report on activity since his client purchased the account. He is prohibited from chaging the report for the original creditor because he did not represent them nor can he undo it because it is not within his authority.

I am quite familiar with Cambece and would be willing to help you out in arranging the settlement properly with them.
