The exemption is 30K if you're married, widowed or 'supporting another', so you may want to get clarification on the exemption of none of those apply to you.

Since you've got 100% equity, you could, as you noted, lose your home, so a consult with a BK lawyer is your best bet.

As stated, if your only income is disability - that is 100% exempt from creditor siezure.
