Thanks for your thoughts. I am going to a credit card counseling service later this week as someone mentioned this as an option and when I called them they wouldn't give me any answers unless I came in to visit with them.

I have no assests asside from our cars. What is charge off status? You mentioned settle in full or pay in full...how are these different? We wouldn't do the bkrcy route as I do want to pay what I owe. I would like to get rid of the large sums on each of interest and late fees before I pay off though. I am in process right now of figuring out how much of each cc is recent fees and interest. I have been behind in varying stages since last October when my employer began to fall behind on my salary.
