The SOL date starts the first day that it was 30 days late. If you were never late and the loan is now paid, it will stay on your reports for 10 years after the date it was paid in full. Good stuff stays on for 10 years. If you were 30 days late on 1 payment, say back in March 99, that 30 days late badness will stay there until March or April 2006.
