I posted a message on 10/10/03, I was the one with the subpeona. I went to the court house and took a look at my file. I was never served, every correspondence (letters, people trying to serve me, judgements taped to the door, etc) was to an address I have not lived at for 1 1/2 years. The scumbags got "verification" from the post office that I still received mail at that address so apparently I was "served legally" (alternative method and by the way all the times I was served and the people at the house answered the door they said I hadn't lived there since 7/02 -it's written on ALL the papers -real smart people.) The other "interesting" thing in my file was that in August of last year the scumbags received (I don't know the exact legal term) permission from the court (they filed something) to come and take anything they wanted out of my house (court clerk said they could have taken anything and everything). Too bad I didn't live at the address the post office said I did. (I do have an attorney going to court with me). I just wanted to bring this up because I don't think I've ever seen this posted on this website. Am I just the "lucky" one? (FYI-I am in Michigan and the DOL for this card was 12/99 First Select now bought by Credigy). I really appreciate all the help!
