I am not sure that you understand that this is significant crap as you like to call it.

Her father died and she contacted his creditors. As a daughter she contacted his creditors letting them know that her father died. They made the assumption that she is now responsible for his debts because she did the courtesy of letting them know.

And yes, it is significant. If you inherit an estate and do not let the creditors know about the situation, then you can be liable for fraud. You just don't take a dead man's assets and walk away and leave the creditors wondering what happened.

It is significant.
