I received a letter from a CA in response to my validation request. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) they must provide the following information:

1. Proof that the collection company owns the debt/or has been assigned the debt
2. Complete payment history, starting with the original creditor.
3. Copy of original signed loan agreement, credit card application.

The first states that they have been assigned the debt but they did not prove that. They have sent the original contract with my signature. Have they validated this debt properly and what can I do?
