Let them stew. Keep all your paperwork. It would not hurt to get a letter from the OC stating that they don't have it, if they will do it. It won't hurt to ask but don't put your cards on that. If you got the information in hand from Asset, and old copies of your credit reports and your old bills, then you are ok. If they take you to court as plaintiff, they must present their case first and you will see what they have. If they have tampered the documents any, (send SOL letter now), then pull out their copies that they sent you and the copies of your credit report and your proof. If they tainted the documents any, make a motion to dismiss case with prejudice on the grounds that they failed to validate the debt and they tampered with the documents.

They cannot tamper with the documents.

Did you send a cease and desist letter. You have the ball. They can't do anything but harrass. The creditor has given you the information you need.
