Unfortunately, there's nothing in the FDCPA that says the have ANY time limit or that they have to send you anything. However, once you ask for it, they must STOP all collection activities - including reporting to the credit bureaus, and they must mark the account as 'in dispute'.

They don't ever have to validate, but they DO have to stop trying to collect until they validate.
