Chargeoffs lost

I have two chargeoffs from 2000 that the credit card companies no longer have a record of when I called and gave my social... the other two cards I ran bad took them to collections which appeared on the 'open accounts' portion of my credit report and reported as unpaid until I settled... where did these other two chargeoffs go is my question?? I am scared to buy a house and then have a lien for those two whole amounts instead of just settling now.
