Hi there, I received a letter from JBC & Associates today regarding a "bounced check" from 1995.

I found this site from a Google search, while researching what my options are. Here are my "case" facts and questions:

-The check was for $30 (total collections $55)
-The check was written in 1995
-The name under "store name" is either an abbreviation of something or a store I have never heard of.
-The check (if it was written by me) would have been written in either NH or MA and I live in another state now.
-JBC is referencing my current state's statutes, wouldn't the law apply to where the check was written, if in fact it was mine?
-It is possible that I did bounce a check (I was just getting out of college in '95) but because of the poor store description, I don't know if in fact I did bounce a check here, if I paid it.

Should I bother writing to them and find out the information? Or will that serve nothing more than to confirm my address so they can harrass me?
