Arrow financial/ Allied Interstate

this is more than likely a very stupid question but anyway. Is Arrow Financial and Allied Interstate the same company? I recieved a letter and several nasty calls from Allied about a cc for $5,000, last pay date 2002. I sent allied a validation letter in June 2003, recieved the green thing back. BTW, all calls slowed down after I told them I was taping their nasty lil butts. This month I recieved a "settlement letter" from Arrow for $600.00. Hey I would love to jump on that but I do not trust them, are they one and the same as Allied? Should I send another validation? Should I continued to ignore? Thank Ya'll, you people are wonderful!
