Your SOL starts from the FIRST missed payment to the ORIGINAL CREDITOR before the ORIGINAL CREDITOR charged it off.

The activity of, or payments to a 3rd party collection agent DO NOT change your SOL.

Look at your credit report, look for the entry from the ORIGINAL CREDITOR, it should show the charge-off date AND a payment history.

For instance, if it shows a chargeoff date of 01/01/1999 and a 90 day late 9/01/1998, then your SOL started 6/01/1998(90 days from 9/01- 180 days before chargeoff)
