Also, after opting out, you can dispute the account with the Credit bureaus as saying that these are the same account and that they are being reported twice. Show them the account numbers.

Then send a letter to the FTC with any and all violations that they have. Also complain to the BBB with any violations that they give you and if they threaten you in any way, it is a violation. THey may own your account but they are still a debt collector. Get a tape recorder, hook it up to your phone and begin recording them.
