IF CA can't validate

If a CA that was assigned (rather than purchase d the debt) CANNOT and does not validate after 2 months, can it be assumed that the OC may not be able to either? The CA has backed off after Estoppel letter and now the OC has changed the TL to show it paid and "transferred to another lender" rather than "charged off with balance owing".... These changes came WITHOUT me disputing them with CRA at all - I only asked the CA for validation. Should I now dispute these as not mine?? Maybe they don't HAVE the records the CA needed to validate and they will have to delete???? Debt is out of SOL at the end of this month CHASE Manhatten Bank CC DOLA 10/2000
