TJ The program I entered charged a “setup” fee of $1,050. At the time I was VERY skeptical of any place that charges for a service that has not been received, but I was desperate. My wife checked out the company with the Better Business Bureau. I ended up settling a dozen accounts for approx. 44%. Most went for 50% but a couple of my larger CC debts settled for 33%. My negotiator settled those first. Several time though, I thought I would end up in court. Lots of scare letters from lawyers. Several contacts at my work. It almost became comical. There wasn’t anything monetarily to take, so I really didn’t have anything to lose. I felt horrible for not being able to pay my debts, but I wasn’t prepared for bankruptcy. I was being charged so much in interest & late charges each months I was left with few choices. Hope it all works out TJ, good luck.
