You are correct... BKs can be deleted, rarely, if they are not verified for one reason or another. If you did get it deleteted it would probably only be a temporary deletion. If you really need a home now and a 7 year old BK is your only negative...shop around for a mortgage...or just wait a couple more years. Keeping bad marks on your credit file is one way the CRAs make money, by keeping a full sub-prime list to market. You could deal with a sub primer now and refinance later...or just wait.
