If the amount is wrong this helps clear that up. If they don't ask for validation, most if not all CA's will assume the balance is correct. If the balance is incorrect then there is a valid dispute and no money should change hands unti
that is corrected. They should not have to pay more than they owe. Paying and then getting overpaid amounts back is next to impossible.
